friday at gus's

i spent the last bit of friday night (and the first bit of saturday morning) at gus's pub.

my goal - to see the pack a.d.

opening acts... left something to be desired.
first act (name unknown) had little rhythm, and less originality.
second act was actually quite good (the hotel lobbyists). good vocals, and good musicality in general. a quick dance party evolved.
then... dun dun dun. the pack showed.

after some technical difficulties, we get started. and we are not disappointed.
the bad-ass-ity of the show was off the chain... (yeah, im a gangster, what?)

simple riffs accompanied by foot stomping drum beats led to smiles on our faces. while facing other technical difficulties they marched on and did a song with just vocals and drums until amp problems were fixed. these guys are 110% no-bullshit. and im 112% into it.

... there was another band after, but i left before they started. the pack a.d. was my headliner.
